Well this is embarrassing. Finished a meeting at a café near Emirates Towers, went to start my car and just got that sad clicking noise. Called a few numbers from Google but most said they only carry the common sizes like 74 or 100AH and would need to “make something work” which I really don’t want on my BMW. I remembered seeing something about a Proven Battery Service Sheikh Zayed Road that might have the exact 60AH for European cars but I can’t tell if they do on site replacements or if I’d need to get towed somewhere. Has anyone here actually used a mobile van that shows up with the correct spec and doesn’t just hand you whatever fits? The car is parked in a paid zone so I’m kind of stressed about leaving it overnight. Also curious if driving with a lower CCA for a few days would risk the alternator or if I’m just being paranoid. Really wish I’d replaced this thing last month when I first noticed the slow crank.
